I rather watch Superman IV: The Quest For Peace (1987)

the original OSCAR film w/ louis de funes is actually from the 60s, not from the 30s , and btw is much better than the remake

From what Joel (the director) had told me on the night before the Atlanta premiere (in June 2009), filming technically started somewhere in 2003 and wrapped up around the time they released the 2006 trailer (all done during their spare time). The 2006 trailer was the first time most people heard that the movie was even happening at all, and was about a year before I was asked to compose the score for the film (apparently, one of my fans sent them some of the Legend of Zelda fan music I'd composed for a scrapped game project and posted on Newgrounds, back in 2006, and that's what led to them approaching me). It took me from the Summer of 2007 through Spring 2009 to complete the score (given the fact that there is around 90 minutes of music - all of which had to go through anywhere from several to over a dozen revisions before the final version heard in the film). It was also during that time that they were finalizing the visual effects and putting the film together in post-production. For example, the entire dragon scene was given to me as green-screen footage and I had to be told exactly what happens when and just kinda guess how the music should be (which made for an actually-fun challenge). While there is a lot of completely valid criticisms toward the movie, I still consider it one of the best film-scoring experiences of my life (not only being the first feature-length film I've scored, but also getting to see it on the big screen, in Atlanta, with other cast, crew, and fans of the film and game franchise). I still look back fondly on it, even if it was super cheesy.

Love this movie

This is the Inspector Gadget movie that we should’ve got. Instead of making the Inspector Gadget movie in 1999, why not make one in 2003 like this as a milestone movie? You know, for the 20th anniversary of the cartoon since 1983. That’ll be great!

Great job on the commentary as always Matt Thank you!! Joel Schumacher is one of my favorite directors as well.I love the atmosphere and look of this film and the story is really unique.I saw this when I was 14 in the theaters and watching it again recently it definitely holds up. I love the cast and I think it's one of Kiefers best performances but they all did a great job. 8 mm is another one of my favorites that Joel Schumacher directed. I would love you to do a commentary of that sometime as well. If I had to pick a top 5 it would be Lost Boys, 8mm , Flaliners, A Time to Kill and Tigerland.

I enjoyed this one,but I understand your point of view I hated the fact they killed off Selma Hayek & the villain was about as memorable as the villain in Seagal’s direct-to-video flicks But action is still fun to watch,Banderas is still good (even in supporting department) & Johnny Depp did stole the show,definetely one of my favourite roles of his

this should've just been a spiritual successor to Bloodsport with David Yeung as the lead playing Chong Li's son and we focus on his journey to win an upcoming Kumite tournament that plays out like the first one. Not this cheesy story of kidnapping and intended fights to the death, just a straight up tournament.

Great movie, one of Joel Schumacher's best. It's a shame he never did a director commentary track for this one, his director commentaries were some of the best ones I've ever heard.

I saw this as a child. It was absolutely mesmerized by by the musical score. And they develop a deep friendship always protecting each other one of them dies. It shattered my heart as a child, and now I’m looking to make it as part of my collection if I can find it.

If you want a great scifi show similar to X-Files or Millennium that actually knows how to keep a narrative thread, try Fringe.

While I agree with matt that johnny was the best part of the film I still dont understand why he felt the need to kill the chef as well as cheech marin and that waitress, it made him just as scumy as the bad guys imo it wasnt even like do bad things for a good purpose, he was just doing it to be an asshole.

20:55 that’s what I would do

I know people think this is part of a trilogy but it's really not. Desperado was just a soft reboot of El Mariachi. I mean El Mariachi was pretty much a student film. Once Robert Rodriguez got more money and a bigger studio, he could remake El Mariachi with big name stars. So in that aspect Desperado is El Mariachi and Once Upon a Time in Mexico is El Mariachi 2.

I havent seen all of this show yet but I swear isnt this another of these old superhero shows which apart from the title character and maybe a few side spots dont have the comic characters especially the villains, like the superman george reeves did that, lynda carter wonder woman, lou ferrigno hulk, the captain america reb brown tv movies, the batman serials(which came before the adam west show). Idk if it was rights issues or the showrunners just hated the comic origins. Which say what you want about the mcu but at least they are bringing in characters from the comics, whereas I remember these old superhero shows most of the time having bad guys consisting of mad scientists, foreign villains and gangsters it got boring real quick.

Cool commentary Matt this rumble match was more for the Purpose of storyline but as a actual match it's the drizzling shits it was more about the backstage antic's and very little ring time and it was very irreverent between everyone else. It was just about stone cold and McMahon

You pretty much hit the nail on the head here. I think I like this one slightly more then you but the problems you mentioned are all true. JD character steals this movie and he's the most interesting part I think thats partially because JD has more charisma as an anti hero then Antonio does as the basic hero character partially because Antonio has less to do and because the token hero is usually less Interesting then an anti hero in general.

I've Always Loved Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Great Action, Well Written & Directed, Great Cast, Antonio Banderas, Johnny Depp, Eva Mendes, & Cheech Marin did a Great Job, my Only Issue is Mickey Rourke & Willem Dafoe were Wasted IMO, but they were Fine Acting though, I Honestly Like Once Upon A Time In Mexico the Best in the El Mariachi Trilogy IMO, I Love Desperato Too that's one of my Favorites of Rodriguez, I Like El Mariachi it's Ok,, but that's my Least favorite in the Trilogy cuz my Issue with it is the Lead Actor was Fine, but Lacks the Charisma of Antonio Banderas IMO

Nicholas Hammond was good as Spider-Man but he's too old and also they completely miss out Uncle Ben who is the motivation for Spider-Man

hmm i notice this video was posted 4 years ago and still has no likes,I have watched this movie several times,because of the Asian culture angle which is interesting to me

They could have had supervillains in the Spider-Man 1970s series like the Lizard and Kraken The Hunter which could have been realized on a TV budget
